Reoving and old trunk seal
« on: May 17, 2020, 11:19:19 AM »
The trunk on our 78TA started to leak and we saw the seal was decaying.  In removing the old one, a lot of the old one remained, especially in the grove section.  Trying to get this cleaned out to install the new one - using an adhensive solvent but it is not going well.  Does anyone have an idea of the best way to do this job?  Picture attached.. Thanks to all!

Picture isn't attached. You need to post elsewhere on an image hosting site and post the link here.
Get a few plastic scrapers that are tough enough to dig into the old seal remains but not gouge and scratch paint under it.
