one of my wife's favoritte dishes that i cook is a Oven Baked Stew... Its really easy to prepare and takes about an hour.
Cut up steak, roast or Vinison in small cubes as well as your potatoes, carrots, celery, onions. Depending on size of pan ( large Pyrex casarole dish).

1 Tblspn of butter/ margarine          1 12oz can of beer
¼ cup of Steak sauce                     2 Tblspn of Worcestchire sauce
Salt, pepper, and a dash of garlic powder

Cover pan with aluminum foil and bake at 450° for 30 minutes, remove from oven  and stir contents, lightly cover with aluminum foil again and place back in oven for another 30 minutes or until potatoes are very very soft.

Every time I make this there is never any left over. Those concerned about the beer, the alcohol is baked off and actually seasons the meat and makes it extremely tender.

So when are you inviting me over for dinner? :D

anytime you wish....
Virgil...

Well done guys!  I'm impressed with the response!
I will try some of these recipes!
THANKS!

Here is a really quick recipe for those of you that like chicken

6 boneless chicken breast
1 large can of cream of mushroom soup
1 can of stove top stuffing
4 cups of water
2 Tbl of butter or margine
Salt and pepper to season

In glass dish (rectangle) spray bottom with Pam/ nonstick spray  (I had to put non stick spray in case John came up with some sort of remark LOL)
Season chicken breast with salt and pepper.
Place chicken in a single layer in pan.
Pour stuffing on top.
Pour in cream of mushroom soup
Add, water on top, and place butter around the top.

Cook in oven at 350 degrees, for about 45 mins.

It's ok.  We won't tell anyone ;)  Sweet tea is a southern thing.  Most places I've been to up north have no idea what I mean when I ask for sweet tea.

Sweet tea in a can is blasphemy.  Gotta be boiled with sugar scooped in while it is hot.  As much sugar as i can get past my wife.  :D
