It is not really how long is your hood but...when your hood is closed and the gap is correct across the front...does the rear edge (left and right) meet exactly at the upper fender line? I never notice because I always had the upper fender corners covered with the stainless trim. The hood never had the trim on it's rear edge. (By the way I need that pc if you have one) So it always look short but I thought it was because the trim was installed. So now the car was painted and during the reassembly the hood is 1/8" - 3/16" shorter than what it look like it should be. The nose is up tight against the fender fronts. These are all factory GM original panels (date codes and marks). On a side note...one fender measures 1/8" longer than the other. Not much I can do...I broke my hood stretcher last year.
