Title: 79 head lights dont work right

on my 79. are the 2 front inside lights on all the time? when the switch is on. mine don't come on until you flip to high beam. its bin so long I don't remember. I thought all 4 lights were on and the outside light are the high low beam lights. any help?

Inner lights/high beams  are only on when high beams are on outter lights/low beams on all the time.

3 prong on the out side?  and they get brighter when put on high beams?
