Under Sill Plate Wire Cover Guards were standard equipment from GM on all 70-81 Camaro Trans Am & Firebird models. The GM units were never coats and were bare metal and hence rotted out in most of these cars.
I few years back OER released a reproduction of these and they are priced at just above $200 shipping included. They are also metal and hence yes 20 years down the line will rot away just as GM units did. They are also prone to back order and hence when you need a set you can not always buy a set.
OUR product releasing for sale today is a reproduction unit made from a heavy gauge ALUMINUM, yes folks in 70 years the car may be rotted in ½ but these units will still be as nice as day one! No more rust stains on your carpet, no more rot. Do it once and do it right. GAU-06 Under Sill Plates are sold as a pair and include all of the mounting hardware needed for a proper install on the units.
