got the motor out this weekend and found surprises :o reasons why it stalled etc.. my cam shaft was worn out and the timing chain was very lose, you could jiggle it around, and also the timing marks werent lined up from the cam to the crank, and my grandpa found out that my motor was rebuilt before many years ago, beacuse he noticed that on the head gaskets there was a like a spray Im guessing that someone sprayed on the new gaskets to help seal it better? and also when it came to the pistons we took the rings off and looked at them closely and saw that they weren't worn evenly, there was a stripe of black in the middle of each ring then silver on both sides, then on the other side of one it was partly worn evenly then the same thing, ALSO lol, looking at the pistons they had alot of play in them when in the sleaves, and there was burnt oil on the side of em along with the top of em, so the rings were bad, and leaked just enough to burnoil, so that means the motor is off to the machine shop along with the heads cause the valves are also worn out, once I find one around here thats actually trustworthy and fair price, anyone have any ideas where I could find one plz let me know, so Im guessing the guy I bought the car from didnt know bout that, so the guy he bought it from proably lied to him about the miles, sounds like more like 165,000 miles and not 65,000,, darn,

and also when I was down at my grandpa's house I saw a nice classic as well, early 70's I think right? charger,

I always find it amazing how bad in shape a Pontiac motor can be but yet still seem to run and drive fine.  Make sure to hit the 301garage.com.  They have soooo much knowledge on these turbo cars and know how to build them strong AND on the cheap.

BTW, nice find.  It appears it's a ws6 car to boot!

WS6 is a handling and brake package. Bigger sway bars, rear disc brakes, better springs, control arm braces, etc.
