Well a simple exhaust leak turned into the following…Actually I would have been happy with a simple exhaust gasket change, but upon inspection the exhaust bolts would only stay hand tight…so to do it right the heads were removed and tapped. Then we decided to change all the valves based on the previous damage.
The heads were baked out and the intake and exhaust manifolds were cleaned in a solution and then painted with some high heat paint. Next the #8 cylinder was pulled because of low compression so it was pulled honed and new rings were put on.
The heads were found to be not “shaved” the same so they are now matched with a little extra taken off of some HP. Shhhh that’s on the down low…lol…Good thing we have a shop or I couldn’t afford this
