3 1977 SE
« on: July 03, 2011, 08:05:00 AM »
I was talking with a friend and he put me in touch with this guy who is liquidating an estate.  I talked to him yesterday and he told me that he has over 50 whole cars and 4 warehouses of parts to sell.  OMG did this guy send me pics.  I'm going on a road trip to meet him today.  We talked about some parts I want (black dash no cracks he wants 25.00)  I am also going to look at these 3 cars.  He told me 2 are 4 speed cars and one is an auto.  Never know what else I may find while I'm there.  ROAD TRIP!!!!

I went, I saw, I liked.  I went to one of 3 locations and there was a Solar Gold SE there, A 77SE and a 77 4-speed.  The Solar Gold was sold....arrrgghhh (it had gold rally rims on it).  The SE was kinda of rough and still had stuff piled around it.  Looked like the rear leaf springs gave out or the frame was gone.  Rear Wheel wells sitting on the rear tires....It was just sad.  Took a pretty good look at the 4speed...I like.  I've been invited to the 2 other locations so I didn't pop on the 4-speed.  But there was a TON of parts everywhere in this backyard and house...they haven't even made a path to open the garage door yet.  God only knows what may be in there.   I was told there are a bunch more TA's out there and he sent me a couple pics.   You can see one off in the background.....Kinda looks like a grand national in there too.  Can't wait to go shopping!!!!

He sold the solar gold for 3k.  It was the best of the three.  I didn't really talk price on the other 2.  The SE was beyond my ability and the 4spd wasn't what I was looking for.
