Title: 1975 Trans Am
Post by: GoldBird79 on July 09, 2012, 05:54:08 PM
I bought a 1975 Trans Am original buckaneer red car. I have already torn into it but a a question on engine paint. It was painted a medium blue metallic, I thought it was wrong but found a couple cars and websites that show this for 75-77 T/A I'm not crazy about it I like the typical Pontiac blue/ teal. I will post pictures soon.

Thoughts....?

Yeah the strato or metallic blue was appropriate for the 75. I just recently repainted mine on my 75 restoration. I love the color, you may not like it. Honestly, unless you are planning on taking it to shows to be judge for stock/original, I would just paint it whatever color you would like. Be happy with your resto, make it personal.
