where does the white vacum hose connect on the heater box?

The port on the back of the heater box towards the firewall.

the diagram you posted was helpful but i am still struggling with the arrangement of vacum lines. on the diagram the control switch is numbered 2-5-4-6-3.  my actual control switch is numbered; 2-3-6-1-5 and i cannot figure out the colors to numbers...have tried swithcing 1 for 6 and 6 for 4 and so on but to no avail.....i noticed the diagram you sent is for a 78  my car is a 79 TATA..any advice??

email sent.  Positions on the diagram are not the actually positions.  They are arranged for clarity.  There was no diagram for 79...at least not one that I could find.
