421 Service Replacement BLock (4 bolt Main) $2500 on ebay
« on: August 12, 2014, 12:57:17 PM »
Here we have a 1963 Pontiac 421  Service Replacement block and crank.  In 1963 Pontiac developed one of the most powerful engines in the 60's that were blowing away the competition.  These very cars go for over $500,000 in large auction houses.  Very few Super Duty or HO engines were made and if you have a Super Duty car this Service Replacement block is the closest you will find to the original. This motor can be used to substitute your HO or standard 421 block  as a Service Replacement # on the block.
Engine Details.  The engine is 50 years old and had been sitting in a shed waiting to be built for countless years.   The motor has been Hot Tanked, Blasted and Magnafluxed.  "I have paperwork"  This motor looks great and is a standard bore and measured out to be approximately 4.103 bore which is standard.  The block should clean up nicely with a 0.30 bore.
Crank Details.  The crank Armasteel  and looks to be in good order
This auction is for the block  and Crank only.  I do not have rods, caps or any accessories.   Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.  I have no details of the history though.
Block Casting Number: 544988
Block ID: SR83093 = Service Replacement block
Block Date Code: B154 = February 15, 1964
Crank Casing Number:  9770488
