1977 Trans Am
« on: October 27, 2014, 12:56:56 PM »
Hi all.  I am new here and to be honest I am a Mopar guy for the most part but love all cars.  I sold a 68 Firebird 4 years back built a 71 Scamp after that.  Have had 40 plus cars in my 44 years on the planet and hope to own them all before I leave this planet.

But I have a guy that has a 1977 Silver Trans Am with red cloth interior Auto tranny.  Car has the original tranny and 400 but is missing the honey comb rims the right shifter and all AC parts on the car.  The car is dead stock.  Tranny leaks from rear seal and needs a power stearing pump because that leaks.  paint is a 8 out of 10 and bird is a bit faded.  Body does not have a spot of rust , not in floors trunk or anywhere.  The car looks like a real solid drive not a show car but very solid driver frount to back.

Can anyone give me an idea what a car like this is worth?

$10,000 to $15,000....  thats my guess...

Nice looking bird!!  Im personally not a fan of the rims - Original ones would look much better!!

I picked the car up and she ran well.  nice gear in it.  popped a freeze plug after 50 miles witch is not unexpected for a car that sat for years.  I am going to put it up for sale see what happens for 6k as is.  I have 3 jobs that are going to keep me busy till Jan and if I still have it then I will start turning wrenches on it.
