Do Hurst T-tops on a 77 Guarantee it is a SE car?

Or are the Hurst T-tops an option that was available on all of the T/As?

Thanks,

No Hurst Tops dont guarantee anything. Not even in a 76, as the customer could have had them added later.

Okay.  That is helpful.  I guess I will check for a Y code on the cowl.....

Sometimes that isnt there either. The only fool proof way to tell is either the build sheet, or the PHS docs.

I am going to look at one this week.  I doubt I will find the build sheet during my test drive so I am hoping a Y code appears.....

Where is the engine code for "numbers matching" verification?

On the front of the block - next to the passenger's side of the timing cover.

Here's a page that might help there.
