need some wiring help

first let me say hello to everyone. i have a 1981 trans am that had the 301 in it. it now has a chevy 350, my problem is when the guy who had it before me switched motors he also hacked the wiring under the hood. my question is a simple dumb one, the two wires for the alternator are green and red right? i cant find any that are that color thats why im asking. if i do have to run wires my self where do they run to. thanks in advance for any help.     tom

I had the same problem the former owner installed a 350 and hacked
all the wiring, On the Alt. if its stock you should have a thick red
wire going to the battery and in the back there is another heavy
red wire going to the heater. I spent many months studying
and I made a whole new front engine harness, Ran all new
wires from the fire wall out. The problem is on a 350 the battery is on the opposite side of the car,so you need to modify a lot of wiring.

manual on CD. Study it you will need it ,good luck.
