Topic: February 2010 Spotlight - 1979 Trans Am of Leigh Pierce

As we roll on through the Winter it is nice to think about all of the cars and shows that will be going on this year.  One of the members that have stuck out in my mind for quite some time is LIMEY.  I have known Leigh for quite some time now and for those of you who have not met him all I can say is "What are you waiting for?!".  Limey has a beautiful Herritage Brown 1979 Trans Am.

Limey joined here on 78ta.com back in November of 2007 when he was searching for his current ride.  As soon as he bought the car a few months later, he had a hard time just trying to wipe the smile from his face.  He found the car close to him in Augusta, GA.  It was a great car with only a few minor fixes needed here and there.   ost of them were cosmetic, but a few mechanical issues as well.  Ever since he purchased the car he has spent countless hours working on the car getting things fixed and fixed right.  After those issues he moved on to making the car look great inside, out, and under.  Just check out the work that he did to his front end here: http://www.78ta.com/smf/index.php?topic=19862.0 and also the work he did to the rear end here: http://www.78ta.com/smf/index.php?topic=16197.0

So he has spent alot of time on the car getting everything just how he wants it to be.  Spent alot of time in the detail and care of getting the parts all cleaned up and new parts installed on the car.  All of the work he has done to the car has really paid off.  For those of you who have seen the car in person, I am sure you will agree that it is a beautiful example of a Herritage Brown 1979 Trans Am,

Limey loves to attend car shows and has been at the Nationals the last few years running (minus Trans Am) with some friends or his wife Amy (who is a great girl herself).  I am sure we can talk him into bringing his car up for all of us to see.  We always have a great time together and he is a great person to have as a friend.

Limey has been all over the world flying around since he does work for an airline company and flies the big jets.  I probably can't even name all of the places he has been to, but he does on occasion find Trans Ams and Firebirds when he is on his journeys.

He also spends some time fishing.... but not fish that I want to go swimming with...

Limey has a great car and is a great friend and as always, it is nice to have you around on the Forum. We hope to see you at the upcoming car shows this year.  So congrats to Leigh for Spotlight of the month here in February.

Never liked brown cars until i saw the colour on a TA...loved them ever since
