cracked door panels on 1998-2002 TA's

I heave heard there is a problem with the door panels cracking on the 98-02 TA's...is there any way to prevent this or should I just plan on this happening at some point? Thanks again! Beno~ 8)

Yes take the panel off  and remove the window felt it should remove the stress in the panel then reinstall after its repositioned ill post a link later

I have heard its caused by someone shutting the doors by the glass. The glass puts pressure on the panel when you use it to shut the door thus cracking the panel. I had a 1998 Trans Am for almost a year and never shut the door by the glass and never had this problem. Others I know havent had this problem either when they shut the doors properly.

All you need to know below ...inner door panels have to be removed and a few staples will need to be removed to relieve the pressure on the
plastic......see link below for further infomation

pretty sure it is a 98-2002 thing and does not matter if it has 100 miles or 100,000 miles, they eventually crack unless you pull a staple or two.

yes...Issue for 1994 thru 2002   :(
