Would love it but for what little I use a toolbox for I can't see spending the money.  Looking back I should have bought this one I saw that was a total of 24 drawers and looked brand new for $800.  I didn't know these things are that much money.  I guess I'm just too use to the Craftsman junk :)

Well, the store bought stuff isn't bad at all for the home mechanic. But, as professional's...we're limited to locking everything in our tool chests and, we need lots of room and storage. Not to mention security and functionality. I easily have $50,000+ in tools that I don't need someone jamming the locks or prying open a $300.00 tool box and rob me blind.

Yeah, it's much better for the thieves to just roll the whole box away since they can't get it open while stealing stuff.

In which case, the shop I work at is now responsible. Besides...if they can lift my box into the back of a truck or trailor, they're really determined. Without any tools in the box it self, it weighs over 1,200 lbs. ;)

In a small town next to me someone broke into a shop, started the shop truck and strapped the 2 biggest tool boxes to the rear bumper and off they went.  They towed them down the road.  They found the truck but no tools.  They stole over $123,000 worth of tools not counting the damages they caused during the heist.  I doubt a Craftsman could be towed down the road for very long!!!!!!  They had this all on tape too but the guys knew where not to show their faces. :(

These things don't sell well unless the seller can take $20 a week for it like the way MAC, Snap-on and the rest sell them.  Just bought one before the end of the year so I could write it off taxes.

Haha yeah I know.  I didn't have to spend that much though.  Menards had a decent deal for a 40"x5' double box with roller bearings and lift latched drawers.  Actually a decent box really.  Paid a little shy of $700 after taxes.  Only thing I wished I had gotten was a stainless box but this is powder coated matte black which isn't too bad.
