Clutch Adjustment ..
« on: May 20, 2007, 03:24:14 PM »
Assembly seems to wobble - wondering if the fork is engaged on the clutch fork ball stud correctly?

No whining from the throwout bearing.  I positioned the rod in the gage hole position to remove lash, then moved it back to the operating hole.  After strarting, the car begins to move after the clutch comes a couple of inches off the floor.  All that said, the entire fork/z-rod linkage assembly seems loose.

Fork travels up and down which given the pivot point on the ball stud and the throwout bearing locking the end that travels, you'd think there'd be little to no motion.

Other linkages like this?  I'd expect some free play along the front/rear vehicle axis vs. up/down.

Suggestions?
