That is a good read for anyone, fan or not. I know guitarists that have read Valerie's book just to read what she said about Ed, lol.
I'm reading Ace Frehley's book right now; It's good so far. I've read Gene's, and it was very good. Ronnie Wood's book was good as was Clapton's. Ozzy's book is so dang funny (during the Sabbath years) that I'd bury my face in the pillow laughing to keep from waking my wife. If you're thinking about Keith Richard's book, wait until you can get it for $.05 on Amazon, and maybe a serious surgery or a broken leg. On page 100 the tool was still in elementary school...
And Burd, you're right about them losing the style, and there's no bigger fan than me. The DLR stuff is the soundtrack of my teenage years. I did like the Sammy stuff, just not the radio hits...
