Radiator restoration for 76 SE 50th anniversary
« on: May 07, 2017, 06:49:05 PM »
Hello all,
I'm working on my fathers 76 Trans Am 50th anniversary edition. It has been in storage since about 1984. I need to know what the correct radiator would be for this car since I have 3 different ones in the garage, but can't remember which one goes to this car. Where would I find the part number stamped on the radiator? How many cores should it have? I want to have the original radiator recored, but want to make sure I use the correct one. It is a 400 4 speed car.

Also, can I buy the correct shade of gold in an aerosol can for the grills and headlight bezels? Would OER wheel paint be correct?

Thanks for any help you can offer. As you can see by my screen name, I'm not used to working on GM's, but am very enthused about getting this TA back on the road.

The gold snowflake paint is the same colour as the grilles, can't comment on the paint match though but it's probably better than most.
