1978 Formula Firebird
« on: July 30, 2019, 08:37:23 PM »
I've got a 1978 Formula 350. Wondering if anyone has seen one with a factory installed military/24 hour clock. Or has any information about how many came this way from the factory. Thank you.

There was a separate order form and brochure for vehicles for military customers. It might say in that. Either way, the clock would replace an existing gauge which wasnt available on some models but anything could be arranged through a dealer if it resulted in a sale.

Thank you for the response. I wasn't aware of that. Have you seen another with that option? I guess it may not be extraordinarily rare then?

Fairly rare, moreso 40 years on where mostly TAs now exist and a tacho is more popular than a clock, regardless of type. Did you post this on another forum, possibly PY with someone about confusing the Europeans with the 2400 instead of 0000? Otherwise it was another of them.

Sorry about the slow response. I have only posted on this forum. I've tried to sign into other forums but it seems impossible. After dozens of attempts I just gave up. Apparently, at least according to them, I don't know my own name, password, and phone number.

Yell out if the pic doesn't work as a non-member viewing. Shows the factory non-tacho clock with 24 hr reading. Not sure if this is what you are referring to. Not a special option, rather, what you get when you didn't want the options.
