1973 455 intake bolts
« on: August 02, 2019, 12:16:28 PM »
Hi All, looking for some help. Im taking my 455 apart for a rebuild and the 4 bolts adjacent to the carb that bolt the intake to the heads are non standard heads. In fact two look like stove bolts but without a slot, almost overgrown rivets. The opposing bolts look similar but well worn. The outside bolts closest to the ends of the intake are normal 9/16.

What are you looking to have help with?

How to remove the bolts?
What to replace them with?

Looking for an assist in how to get them out. Figured if I could ID them, then could find the right tool to remove them.  Plan b is drill and easy out but not a lot of room since they are adjacent to the carb base
