Swap a cluster with tach oil and temp gauges

I want to swap a 79 trans am cluster with tach, oil/ temp gauges into 79 esprit with only warning lights. Can this be done? Is car side wiring the same?

It can and has been done but there is wiring that needs to be changed I believe. They’re not plug and play.
