Wow! Complete loss of site.

Just now got it back. Been off since 5:45. (About1 1/2 hours.) And it was the whole thing. Forum, tech pages, home page and all.

I was wondering.
I was having trouble getting the site.
I thought it was my computer.

I lost my site a few times.  Sometimes, if you are in the middle of updating your site and happen to mess with the server path.  The site won't load up, but the good thing with simplemachines is you upload a repair settings path and it will fix your site.

Either way, it would suck to lose 78ta.com

Hitman is probably getting ready for some big turn over on the site.  He did mention some very, very cool things coming at the beginning of the new year.

I wasn't home so I didn't notice, but yes it would suck tremendously to lose 78TA.

Wow, I didn't even know it was down.... I was without power so I wasn't able to get on anyway. I did do some DNS changes and maybe that was the problem.   I did the server change back on December 19th.  Have you noticed any changes since the 19th?  Maybe faster load times, not that hesitatiing that was going on before?  Have you guys been getting all of the email notifications to topics replied to?

It seems to have been working faster since the 19th.  For me anyway.

The slow downs we had in the past are just that... in the past.  The site has been running fantastic for some time now.

The only thing that slows me down is the load time for linked pics from photobucket...but that's not unique to this site -- it happens with TAC also.  Geeze, sometimes it seems like the pics are loading so slow I'm still on dialup.  Of course it only happens with pics new since my last visit or since I last flushed my cache, because I only download them again if they've changed.  But as far as everything else goes it loads in a flash. ;)

That's why I like posting them on 78ta's Gallery site.  It's all the same server so load times are fast for those threads.
