"Just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how great you site is!!! Hats off to you on the most incredible T/A I've seen. I've been a T/A lover forever..........at least since Smokey and the Bandit!!! I always wanted one and just never took the time to find one and always bought something else. Finally last year I'd sold off a ton of stuff including a few cars and put myself in a position to get one. At the "All GM Carlisle" in June I found it. It's a base 1978 Black Trans-am with 46,000 miles it does have the Hurst Hatches and the Deluxe black Vinyl interior. I'm very impressed with what you have done with your T/A and noticed it's also started life as a base Trans-am. For awhile I had the idea of turning mine into a "SE" however after many trips to your site, I've decided to use a few of your ideas on mine and keep it a base. I'm very interested in talk to you in regards to your decals and stripes. Anyways that's enough for now, Just wanted to intro. myself, say thanks for an incredible site that show cases the true beauty of the second generation Trans-am.
P.S. I've attached a pict. or two of mine"
Best regards

"Hi. Just thought i'd send in a picture of my beloved Trans Am. Its been my dream to have one since I was 8 years old. I finally made it come true 2 years ago and my pride and joy ever since. Not that many ladies seem to have them over here in England, so I raise a few eyebrows!"

"Well, the car is running great.. I have done lots of work to it.. I changed the rear leaf springs myself and put new coilover shocks on the back. Had the starter and alternator rebuilt. Replaced the water pump, thermostat, hoses and antifreeze. Changed oil and Tran oil. new tires all around 235-75r-15.. What a difference that made.. My son and I just got back from a drive. It runs very nice.. What a blast to drive a big block and a standard.. I had a smile on from ear to ear.. I had the car apprised and it came back at $15,000. Canadian. I taught that was pretty good.. I just love the car.. It is such a beast to drive.. I was telling my son on the way back that there aren't very many of these car left around here. Most have ended up in the U.S. I don't think I will ever sell the car.. Here are a couple of pics of the car and me.. "

"I've had TAs all my life since high school. My first one was well...a 78 but i forgot I wrecked that one after about 6 months......But, my second was a 78 black TA with the high performance engine. Not a special edition, all those decals never did that much for me anyway. It was an Anaheim built car. I still have the original build sheet around here somewhere. But I digress. About 3 weeks ago I purchased a 77 TA 180 HP with 7300 all original miles. I am the third owner now. I purchased it in Ohio and it was an Ohio built car as well."
This is a nice looking Bandit car. Take a look at this detailed engine. I bet you could comb your hair by looking into this one.
I bought the car almost 10 years ago, from a 2nd owner. It was over all in very good shape, but I did a full frame off resto on her. The engine is a 400, with edlebrok aluminum heads, I had all the accessory brackets dipped in chrome, hood hinges, basically every thing under the hood is either dipped or polished aluminum. I had it dynode at 415 HP. I didn't miss anything when I restored this car, even right down to my NJ tags :) And if any of the people visiting your site have any questions, about TA SE's I would be more than happy to answer any thing they may want to know.
