"Awesome site! Here’s my 79 T/A. My Dad bought it in 1995 with 46,000 miles on it as a High School grad present. I drove it during summers when I was home from college. It has a 403 Olds, 350 turbo transmission, 2.41 posi gears, and basically stock all the way around. I put new brakes and a high performance suspension on it 4 years ago, and then it sat in my parent’s garage until this last summer when I came back from the Middle East fighting Saddam. Now it’s in my garage and I can play with it. It was a NC car so it’s never seen snow. The undercarriage is rust free. I have a lot of work to do, mostly cosmetic because the previous owner stored it outdoors. What a shame. Your tips are money, keep ‘em comin’!!
P.S. My other car is a US Navy helo.

Hey Pete... can we test drive the Helo?
Thanks for serving this great Country Pete... I salute you!
"It's 76 Trans Am, almost completely original. Engine was rebuilt last year at 300K miles, Holley carb and true duals were added at the time. This car was my Dads for the past 23 years, daily driver to work. It finally got rusty enough that he was either going to sell it, or give it to me to restore. I'm going to try to restore it, I'm getting a price quote from a shop in the next couples weeks for some rust work (rear frame rails and passenger floor pan) and if it's too expensive I'm going to have to sell it, but if it's not, then I'm gonna go ahead and do the resto.
I'm really hoping it'll work out, but I've got a feeling it might not, because of the rust... "
Thanks,
Kyle Will

"this is a picture of my 78 Firebird, I am the second owner of this bird. I purchased this bird from the original owner a few years ago for only 50 bucks! It's about 2/3 of the way restored, and it is my daily driver. Loved your site and keep up the good work."

"She is a 1981 with onlt 59,000 on her all original.
I bought the car in Burlington Iowa and brought her back on a trailer just to keep the miles off of her.
Every year we have a vary big cruse here in michigan called the woodward dream cruse and i am really looking forward to driving her in it. "
Regards
Brian
I've been restoring a 1981 Nascar pacecar edition for the last year. I flew out to Texas and drove it back home to NY state. I paid $8,000 for it and have put $4.000 into it so far. The car does not have matching numbers but that didn't concern me. I was just looking for a trans am that was a nice ride. I used to have a 76 back in the 80's but had to sell it when I had my first kid. Now that their all grown up (all three) it's time for me to have fun again.
