"hi my name is Jason arsenault. I hail from Prince Edward Island Canada. I just finished perusing your web site and have to say it's the most informative and best laid out trans am site I've seen in years. I just recently laid my car up for it's long winters sleep, Trans Am's don't last very long in five feet of snow and salt covered roads. It's a 1980 Y84 301 Turbo with T Tops. As with most of the trans ams on the road I'm always improving on it's condition. The body is in excellent shape and mechanically I've had no problems in the five years I,ve had it. But the interior and under hood appearance needs work. I'm looking for an air breather assembly the previous owner replaced the original with a chrome 14" one and painted everything under the hood gold can you say redneck!!!  Thanks again for all the great info, and have a great new year."

John from Jacksonville 1978 Y-88 gold 400 4 speed. "I’ve had the T/A for about 4 months ....with 88K on it very little rust I think I got a great deal I don’t see any in the Jacksonville area much my plans are to restore everything back to 100% and have fun showing it off and driving it ."

It was originally a gold on gold T/A, Van Nuys built, one of 210. It 'had' the Olds 403 also. For 400.00, it was mine. 16,500.00 later, and it still needs a few things. It has a clone Ram-Air IV (1969) 400 engine with Hooker Super Comps, Edelbrock intake/carb., Ram-Air IV cam, 10.7-1 TRW pistons, Edelbrock aluminum heads, and Harlan Sharpe roller rockers. I have been on the freeway with it at over 150mph, (I also installed a 1973 160 mph speedo), with a new Mustang Cobra behind me that couldn't catch me. It has 3:23 gears which explains that. Turbo 350 trans. w/2500 stall convertor. I made my own motor mounts so the scoop would come further through the hood. It also has a Griffin aluminum radiator. It came fully loaded with everything except cruise control. It has also been upgraded with Sony in dash CD stereo. .... Thanks alot!  Steve

this is my firebird a 1977 it now as shaker hood and wheel spats of a 1980 bird .great cars better than any Japanese german and italian crap ....ste england.
