"Hitman,
This is my 1978 firebird(original) built to a trans am. Still need a
few parts like a posi rear end and a passengers side plastic rear fender flair but I'm workin' on it. But still need those templates for the holes."

"This year I will rebuild the bottom of the body and the complete gold paint like it originally was, and next year the interior part (I hope, I have enough money…!).
I will visit your website from time to time, the information is very interesting.
Thank you very much and have a good time!"

"Firstly I would like to say how much I enjoy your website and your restoration tips. Last October I purchased my 78 TA - I drove it home from Seattle to Winfield KS - not bad for sight unseen car and being a recent (December 02) arrival to the US from the land down under. Anyway I had a great trip back to Winfield - my car didn't miss a beat the whole time. Since then I have been (when time and money allow) doing bits and pieces to fix it up, even though it was in good condition when I got it. .........
Thanks so much and keep up the good work - with your car and the website. It is greatly appreciated, even by Aussie girls living in Kansas."

This is our one-family owner 1977 W72 Trans Am with 11,372 original miles ordered new by my parents on December 29, 1976. This car is completely unrestored and still has it's original tires, all hoses and belts, exterior paint, decals, interior, wheels, etc. In fact the engine still has the original factory settings as nothing has been touched.
Perfect? No.
Time capsule? Yes.

"Here is a pic of the two 79's I own. The brown one is a feel good story in itself. I paid 2k for it in late 2003, the car had sat up in a garage under junk for 15 years. The original owner died, he was 59 when he bought it new, and they parked it. The son got it running and asked me if I wanted to buy it. I looked at it, it looked bad. Filthy was not a word strong enough. There was 1/4 or more of dirt in the interior all over the place. The sail panels and armrests in the back where solid black. I took it home and proceeded to clean the hell out of it. He told me it had 120k on the car but something seemed wrong. After three weekends of cleaning and inspecting the car I took it to three restoration shops, my suspicions were correct,
it was a 20k car. I called the son and he just assumed it had 120k on it and said his father only drove it to church and the grocery store, it all added up. The dirt actually protected the interior, the dash is perfect the seat backs survived and the seats are like brand new. Dumb luck on my part, but I will take it everytime."

"Here is a pic of my baby a 1978 Pontiac Trans Am originally equipped with a 400/350 combo it now sports a SD455 from 1973 and a th400 trans. Original options include p/s, p/b, p/w, p/l, rear defog, tilt wheel, cruise control, and T-tops. This pic is from 1999 when my wife purchased the car for me as a wedding gift. WHAT A WOMAN! Most women cry and complain about how much time their man spends on his car. Mine encourages it! Sometimes I wonder if that's a good thing?! Anyhow my baby is far from done she is currently undergoing a complete frame up restoration. With any luck she'll be back in action summer of 05'."
