I love your web site and your 77 T/A! Here is my 79. My wife is jealous because I spend alot of time on her. She wants to drive it. OK I'm done laughing now! I live in las Vegas, thank god for that. No such thing as salt, or rarely rain. Just have to keep it out of the sun.

My car is a 1987 Trans Am Black and Gold Edition. 305 V8 with auto tranny/ ws6 suspension package, also has the digital dash, t-tops, have upgraded to a flowmaster exhaust system and K&N Air system. Here are some pics after just being washed. The car had 69k on it when I got it 5 years ago and now has approximately 80k. I am looking to paint the car this summer as well as change the headliner and seals, just to freshen them up. My son who is 5 and I really enjoy the car and it will be his someday, once I get a newer RAM AIR TA. My Friends is the white 1997 Formula with the WS6 Ram Air package. It is 1 one 430 cars made that year. Has approximately 40 k on it. It is a 6 speed with leather interior and is a very clean car.

I'm TN -T/A on your forum member #246. My name is Daniel and I'm from Tennessee. My car pictured is a '78 T/A, L78, M33 black with cloth carmine interior. I know the decals aren't correct(bird is '79 design and wrong shaker decal) but I don't mind, I think the red and orange looks good on the car. I kind of have a possible resto-mod idea for the car. I'd like to update the suspension and wheels to give a better stance and handling ride. Also I love my music so I might update the stereo system too. I want to keep as much original as possible, but I also want to make the car my own. Love your website Brett and all the useful information it provides. Keep up the good work and hope to get my car posted on your site. I have to give a special thanks to my wife Angela and to Larry and Gina.
Don't know what info you want or need so I'll just give you an overview! Love your site! Thanks!

Here is a reminder not to let your 16 year old kid drive your Trans Am........
I finally picked her up on Saturday.. thought I would send you some pictures to post.
She is a 78 WS6 W72 original Solar Gold 4 speed car. There is very little rust on the body, the trunk is solid, floor is solid, wheels just redone....original 4 speed, orginal engine... numbers matching car. Thanks for all your help again...
I am going to work on the engine for awhile...then send her out to have the interior redone... maybe down to you? Not sure yet. With your help and the help of your website and its members I picked up my first Trans Am about two weeks ago... She is a WS6/W72 4 Speed optioned car, special ordered with every option the Y88 had except for T-tops as far as I can tell. I was lucky enough to find her locally and with an owner that wanted her to have a go to a TA lover. Please post a few of them so those members that helped can see what they helped with, as I wouldn't have the car if it wasn't for you and the members of your website.
Mike from New York
Hi,Sending a picture on my T/A -77. 400W72 matching numbers.
Jonas Hult. From Sweden.

Shown in the picture is my 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. This car was built in my hometown of Norwood, Ohio in June of 1979. It has the Oldsmobile 403 engine, with the 350 automatic transmission. The car has 34,000 original miles on it! Being built in June indicates that my car was one of the last to be made with the 403 engine. Model year change occurs the first two weeks of July and the 403 engine was obsolete from the line up in the 1980 Trans Am. The car was built for the Canadian market. I don’t believe there are many differences between the North American and Canadian versions except for the speedometer. My Trans Am was special order from the factory. Reasons I know this to be true, it has cloth interior and no A/C. According to the PHS documentation, vinyl seats were standard in the car. If you wanted cloth interior, it was a special order. I am the third owner of the car. To date I have redone the entire cooling system which includes re-coring the radiator, new heater core, new water pump and new thermostat. I have also repainted the fan, pulleys, water pump, and inner fenders to OEM specifications. The interior is where I am focusing my attention now. I have new OEM carpet and panels to install. I was born and raised in Norwood, Ohio. My family ended up in Norwood due to the GM plant. My father and uncle both worked at the factory on second shift. It is very possible that my family helped build my car.
