This project is pretty much just like any of the other gaket changes. The valve covers are fairly easy to get to..... well at least the driver's side was easy to get to, the passenger side of the car was another story. I had to replace this gasket because I had a small oil leak on the drivers side cover.

So, I figured as long as I was doing everything else, I might as well do this small task. The oil leak is kinda hard to see from this photo, but when the engine was running, you could definately tell that there was a small problem. Removing this was pretty simple with only a few minor things to push out of the way and only 4 bolts holding this in place. Once this was removed, I proceeded to remove all old gasket material from the valve cover and clean the inside thouroughly with some carb cleaner.

I placed a thin line of gasket sealer along the edge of the valve cover and placed the new gasket on top. Once that was done, I placed the new gasket and valve cover back in placed and bolted it back on. I couldn't get any simpler than that for the driver's side cover. What really ma

de the passenger side tough was the air conditioning unit. If your car does not have air conditioning, then this will be somewhat easier for you. There is though some other misc hoses that you must disconnect, mark, and move before removing this cover. Once again, if you just take your time and mark everything, then putting it back together is just that much easier. The air conditioner can simply be unbolted and slightly rotated to be moved out of your way enough to remove this cover. It is a little time consuming to do this side of the valve covers, but it is a step that needs to be done

along with the driver's side. Looks a little messy there doesn't it? ----->
