just wondering if anyone caught the new HPP magazine. It sounds like the 2011 is going to be quite differnent than the camaro.  Now here is the interesting part. for the motor they are thinking about going with either a turbo charged V6 or a new turbo diesel motor.  what do you guys think of that? personally i don't like the idea of anything but a V8 going in a trans am.  but if i had to choose i woudl go with the diesel, just because it would be unique. id have to see some numbers though

Considering Pontiac is not supposed to exist after 2010 I don't think the car is going to happen.  Wasn't too bad looking though.

It's not a "Pontiac" Trans Am. It's the one proposed by ASC and built using Camaros and conversion parts.

I fail to see the excitement about it.  Your title will always say "Camaro" and the VIN proves it.  The car can't say Trans Am on it wthout them paying royalties to the SCCA.  It can't have a Pontiac nameplate on it either.  It's like taking a Hyundai Tiburon, adding some stick-on body panels and a door kit,  and comparing it to a Lambo (which is what a local company does in their tv ads)  Roll Eyes

This same company did the same thing with the GTO to Chevelle conversion

which had a rather large price tag and as Yeti mentioned it will always be titles as a Camaro just as the Chevelle conversion was titled as a Holden/GTO

jeese that thing is ugly in my opnion. idk i belive the hyundia and lambo example is a litle extreme.  comparing a camaro and trans am is not the same.  but in my eyes its better than nothing.
