When Regan lowered the tax rates, revenue doubled for the government.  The Dem's don't think that way though.  The healthcare bill isn't about healthcare, it's about redistribution of wealth.  The energy bill isn't about energy, it's about redistribution of wealth.  When Obama said "we're four days from fundamentally changing the country" everyone cheered.  No one ask what he was changing it to.  Now we know.  To quote the philosopher I always looked to, Chairman Mao, "we're in deep dodo".

And what nobody seems to realize is that once it's there, it's there for life.  You won't undo this debacle and we'll be far poorer every week and no better off from a health perspective.

What I understand is this.  It can be reversed, as Obama reversed things that Bush signed into law the first month he was in office.  But it is not easy if you don't have the support in the House and Senate.  If you have the support in both, it can be changed, but can be vetoed by the President.

Having said all that, if the Conservatives/Republicans regain control in the House and Senate in 2010, they can reverse it, but likely will be vetoed by the President.

But if the Conservatives/Republicans keep the House and Senate in the 2012 Presidential elections and a Conservative/Republican wins the Presidential election in 2012, then it can be reversed without opposition.

Then I would suggest that you contact your senators "NOW" and let them know how you feel!

If health care passes, we have five years to repeal it.  The way the bill is designed, they collect taxes and cut medicare benefits throughout the ten year CBO budget period, but the benefits really don't start until year five or six.  That's how they got the bill to be deficit neutral in the ten year period.  So, people without health care wouldn't be helped by this bill until 2014 or 2015.  So, why the rush?Huh  I heard one congresswoman say they needed to pass the bill because of the swine flu.  She obviously hasn't read the bill.

If they pass the energy bill, that also can be repealed.  However if Congress ratifies a world agreement, we're basically stuck and a world body would be able to levy taxes on the U.S. to give to the third world countries to repay the "climate debt".  Once ratified, we would have a hard time getting out of the agreement.

This all makes me sick.  I'm working on my Y88 so I don't have to think about this stuff.  I can instead complain about the poor mechanical skills and lack of knowledge of the people who worked on that car before me.  You wouldn't believe some of the stuff I've found.

I heard about that today ... EVERYONE needs to read this link.  What's scary here is that nowhere in the constitution are you REQUIRED to have healthcare.  This bill will MANDATE that you pay for it or face fines and penalties.

Section 7203 – misdemeanor willful failure to pay is punishable by a fine of up to $25,000 and/or imprisonment of up to one year.
Section 7201 – felony willful evasion is punishable by a fine of up to $250,000 and/or imprisonment of up to five years.” [page 3]

Pelosi won't post the bill and let us read it ... WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE!!!

What's going to happen is people will pay the small penalty that don't want insurance.  If something happens....like a heart attack, cancer or some other horrible thing, they will sign up for insurance because insurance companies won't be able to deny a policy because of pre-existing conditions.  You know the hospitals will have a procedure to get the insurance policy applications filed for anyone who comes into the emergency room.  They'll either apply for private insurance or put them in the government plan if they have no money.

And all those illegal aliens that Obama said wouldn't be covered (you lie!)....they'll get coverage too.  It's unconstitutional to discriminate against one class of people.  As long as an illegal is in the country, they are protected by the constitution.

How's all that hope and change working for you now?

Actually, the house bill is available.  I downloaded a copy of all 1,900 pages of it.  It's a living document though.  They're changing it all the time.  What's going on now is the Dem's are bribing the holdouts with our tax dollars.  That's why you'll see the total cost of this nightmare go up.
