Flagging topics?

I think it would be nice if we had the ability to flag posts so we could have quick easy references to them. I know that the search feature could do this just fine, but sometimes a topic may have other important info in it that doesn't pertain to that particular topic.

I save all the posts that I want to come back to later as a bookmark on my web browser.

You can do select "notify" and I believe you'll be notified to a reply via e-mai.
I use the "show new replies" and "show unread posts"
It'd be nice if there was a "mark as read ... forever" for the posts that keep coming back when I select the "unread options".

I'm just talking about using them for future reference, I can't remeber every little detail on how to do something. Your guy's ways would work too though. I myself save the links on a word doccument, and that way seems to work for me.

About the only two suggestions I have is like mentioned above.... either bookmark the topic in your browser, or send it to yourself by email and save the email. That is the only two ways to do it that I know of with this forum program. I mean, I can't even flag a topic for myself. I will check around and see what I can come up with to maybe modify this feature, but don't know what is out there to do so.

i think he means using a tag feature.
you can add tags that show underneath all the posts. so that searching becomes easier. sort of like a keyword

No, I was actually talking about flagging. It's like saving a topic, so you have a little bank of saved topics that you can refer to in the future. I should have been more descriptive I guess.

No, "Subscribing" to a topic just notifies you of replies or new posts. "Flagging" of a topic or post actually saves it on your profile so you can look at it at any time real quick. So it is like saving that topic in a special spot for easy access or reference.

I have looked around and did some searching and right now, there is no modification to be able to do this on this forum program. There is a new version being released soon, but don't know if it has that feature either. I will keep looking into it.
