Fading in the sun happens - I'm assuming there's a mismatch between it and the kick panels?

I was going to suggest the SEM dye that everyone swears but hadn't seen it applied to dash.  I'd assume it would work ... it'd probably be best if you pull the entire assembly out.

sem is good stuff but be aware it is NOT a dye.  it is a paint,  just flexible & made to bond to plastic/vinyl better than normal paint.   the prep is the key to it working good & lasting.  the surface needs to be absolutely clean.  dashes have lots of armor all residue that is very hard to get off.  clean, clean & then clean it again!  also use a adhesion promoter if possible,  bulldog is a good brand or the sem brand.    good luck!

i know that certain companies (mostly in catalogs) sell vynl paint to match %100 the original color of the interior if it matters all that much taking the dash off and spraying it with the paint would achieve the looking your going for. The cans are like $20, i have to re paint my plastic interiors and will be investing in a can when the time comes.
