Is this going to be a problem? can i just weld it and then drill out the bolt?

welding cast is not that hard but the tricky thing is to rethread it properly. it is going to be a task without breaking the tap. Just a little insight from experience.

I had somebody weld a chuck of the block back on my 350 - by the starter motor.  Every time I torqued the starter motor back up I knew it was going to break off again ... never did.  I good welder should be able to fix that as good as new.
