i just picked up a 79 ta white on white  a/c  auto 51,000 miles! with 403 # matching $600.00!! its pretty rough though sadly it will most likly be parted out still havent decided computer to slow to upload pics right now maybe tomorrow?

Nice color scheme. I would try to save it. If anything, I would try to get it running. That alone is half the battle! At least you have one. $600 is a steal if it is all there. I always worry about the frame rails. If those are gone, it is really hard to straighten them out (replace them). Everything else can be replaced.

the engine is locked up tore the valve covers offs every thing is just a big rusty mess the covers had rust holes in them i drained two gallons of water out of it! the body is shot might rebody it? and rebuild engine if it wasnt for the miliage and numbers matching it would be junked

o and yea it is a complete car the guy  parked it ten years ago for a broken motor mount .............. you know cause they cost like 12 bucks stupid people really annoy me!

I know how you feel. At least he sold it to you and didn't pull the usual, "Oh, I don't want to sell it, because I'm going to restore it... some day." That one really annoys me. Think of it this way, it would allow you to put a Pontiac engine it for some real power! That is what my car has in it (although I got mine with it in it). Actually, it has a Ram Air IV in it.

if i do restore it it would be put back to orignal so it would be worth somthing i have no intenion of keeping this car it was bought for the purpose of restoring to sell it

I need the EGR-TVS if you're going to part it out.  It's a little metal box thing that sits between the intake manifold and the water pump/timing chain cover.  It has the EGR-TVS running through it.
