2 firebirds/sold today
« on: June 16, 2010, 12:22:41 AM »
Bought 2 firebirds both have the double hood scoops and rear spoilers.They are project cars one is almost complete and is bright yellow.it just needs a drive train.The other is black and needs alot including a rear quarter replaced from hitting a pole doing donuts in a parking lot.(((Smooth move))).One of them i was told is a true formula but i dont know.(((((I found out that the black car is a True 71 formula 400.))))))) I just think this year of firebird is really tough looking.Would this be a good year to put back on the road,is there an intrest for this year model.I keep trying to post pictures but it keeps timeing out on me.Let me know what you guys think.

If you get the 2nd digit of the VIN, then you know what type of firebirds they are ;)
2nd digit - Series Number
S = Base Firebird
T = Esprit
U = Formula 400
V = Trans Am (72 - 74)
"79 Trans Am tenth Anniversary Edition"
"81 Turbo Trans Am"
Sad to see that people part out T\A's :( especially saveable ones

72 are nothing but trouble, you don't want the headaches, I'll do you a favor and take them off your hands!

The first car I brought home has a T for the second number and the other car has a U.Both cars are rollers with no drive trains in them.I did find a complete driive train today for one of them.Its a 1974 complete motor with an edlbrock performer intake and headers and comes with a 400 automatic transmission for 350 bucks for both still bolted together.Both cars have all the guages  like a trans am,twin hood scoops,automatics.I will send (((HAMMER))) not Hitman some pictures of the cars he said he would post them for me.

its very easy just go to tinypic.com and upload the photos and copy and paste the link they give you and put them into your post.  you lucked out big time. i would love to have a 70-73 car. i love the front end, double scoop hood, and rear window so much.  they look so mean.   cant wait to see photos of your cars you got.

I might just sell them because Im still trying to get mine on the road.I do like the body style of them to but after thinking about it i cant do 2 projects at once.I had to buy them because they were just sitting there wasteing away.Like i said before I have already found a complete drive train for them out of a 1974 firebird so that gives me one complete car.Pictures comeing soon.
