I just saved a 71 Trans Am from the crusher can someone help me with what I have and it's value???
The VIN comes back as a 71 it has a light blue engine with transfer lug  aluminum intake big quadrajet factory 4 speed with the hurst shifter and 10 bolt rear end.
The car has been sitting in the weather with no windshield it needs everything and I mean everything but it is basically complete.

According to the Hagerty's Value Guide.  Perhaps the car you have might be considered less than "Fair" condition??

Current Values:

#1 Concours - $78,000
#2 Excellent - $58,200
#3 Good - $31,500
#4 Fair - $21,100

I'd say it probably has no value other than the parts on it, which may be not much more. The time and money you will spend on bodywork will be many times the value of the finished piece, but we do this because we love the cars and not because they may be worth more than what we spend. A car going to the crusher is basically worth it's scrap value, because they realise it will cost a lot to be worth  not much. Hopefully you can save it.
