Welcome to the fun house at 78ta Dan.  Go over in the technical section and ask about the horsepower, there's no shortage of opinions around here :)

That's OK Andy -- everybody here has project cars, most are far from perfect, and they're all a work in progress.  Heck, I even had a set of cast wheels from a third generation TA on mine for a while (actually, quite a while).  Go ahead and post up yours for old time's sake! :) :)

Thank you, Rick.  Sounds like you know where I'm coming from.

She had a 400 bored out to 406; Wiseco pistons, rings and the wildest camshaft the boys at Comp Cams ever dreamt up.  The previous owner had it turned for drag racing.  The result was that the car could not idle and, with it being an auto, it was virtually undrivable.  The carbs were set so rich that every time I pulled her into the garage, my house would smell like gas for 2 days.  I’m sure you can imagine that that didn’t go down too well with the Mrs;)

My next T/A needs to be far better manners.
