Hi guys. I'm new here . I'm in England and have a general interest in US Autos (I'm not really commited to 1 particular brand). At the moment I drive a Dodge Ram which came from Florida.  The reason Ive entered this forum is I've just bought a 78' Trans Am.  I've not picked the car up yet (I've not even seen it -only seen pics).
At the moment it is fitted with a 5.7 350 Olds (I dont know why). The car comes with a spare 400 Pontiac or a 403 Olds. I am no mechanic so will probably need advice on the best engine  etc, anyway thats for a different post.  So hello and 'have a nice day'.

I've not picked the car up yet. These pics are from the add.

I think my first job is to put the rear turn signal back to original.  In the UK the turn signal must be amber so alot of US spec cars have them rewired into aftermarket lamps (looks  stupid).

I collect the car  in a couple of weeks. Its a 750 mile round trip so am spending the weekend in Inverness, Scotland (might see The Loch Ness Monster) , then driving it home. Its been stood in a barn for a couple of years but is roadworthy as its just passed its M.O.T. (test to make sure its safe and roadworthy-all cars over 3 years old must pass this to be legally allowed on the road).
When I get the car home I'll take more detailed pics before I start any work. Thanks for all the interest.

Hi everyone this is my first post on this forum. My name is JOE I live in Sydney Australia. I own a 1974 TA the car is my pride and joy I drive it at least four or five times a week. The worst thing I have found about restoring my ride is the time of the road. I do all the work on the car I can myself, If it's off the road, I work up to 20 hours a day till she's back on the road. I guess it's a TransAm thing here is some pics of my car.
