Ever try the Gevalia coffee? you can get the basic to the rare once a year beans, as far as the Hot spot, it's not gevalia, but it's good!

No and don't plan on it for one simple reason. There is no roast date on the packaged coffee so you really don't know how long ago it was roasted. If you weren't aware, Gevalia is owned by Kraft Foods.

I purchase from a few different artisan roasters. Depends on what I'm in the mood for. I've never ordered from east coast roasters as the coffee would take too long to get here but I hear good things. There's two roasters that come off the top of my head kind of near you - Intelligentsia and Metropolis. Both are located in the Chicago area.
