Fiberglass and carbon fiber fenders
« on: May 14, 2008, 08:05:05 PM »
In the next couple of months I will be working with a guy to make molds for fenders, hood, shaker.  These will be done in glass, or glass and CF or just CF. As time goes on we will be working with other parts of the car that can be done. I dont know if there will be a market in these, but I will have the molds when he is done doing my projects..

What do you guys think as far as a market for CF parts. Would you be interested in something like that. I know cost would be a big in that, esp for a full CF part depending on size etc..

Any input is appricated

That's awesome.  I would be interested in reading what the differences in weight and cost would be for the regular metal, fiberglass and carbon fiber pieces.

I would love to see a photo of a T/A with carbon fiber parts...   :)

Could be interesting. I might be interested in a cf or fiberglass shaker hood for the 80 bird.

Yup, sign me up.  I'll take fiberglass/carbon fiber anything.  How long might you be able to produce something like that?
