Topic: speedometer cable

Can anyone tell me where the speedometer cable goes through the body of a 76 TA. My car was missing the speedometer cable when I bought it I and I can't seem to figure out where to rerun the new one.

I'm not exactly sure on a 76, but on the 78 it comes up through by the carpet trim piece where the steering column goes through the firewall.  If you take the trim piece off and pull the carpet back a little, you should see where the cable is suppose to come through.  Hope that's clear.
