A few CHEAP parts that I picked up...
« on: February 28, 2010, 06:37:43 PM »
Went to a local junk yard yesterday that's full of all kinds of cars from the 40's right up to the 80's.  It's a muscle car enthusiast's dream!  There was a black '77 base Firebird along with a white '77 Trans am.  Here's what I picked up: a set nice set of original black sun visors, a 160 MPH speedometer/gauge cluster, a factory shift knob, a great set of inside door lock pins, a '77 front grille, and a set of '77-'78 tail lights w/ sockets.  I paid a stunning $2 per piece!  Here's a couple of pics of the parts:

The 160 MPH speedometer...in my car now and yes, it works great! (sorry for bad photo quality)

The other side of the cluster with idiot lights.  Notice the Firebird emblem engraved into the center of the gauge.

Great set of tail lights!  No cracks or major imperfections.

Out of all of the grilles, this was the only one that was good enough to save.  The others were busted badly.

Not a bad score at all for $2 each.
