My son will not be able to legally drive for a couple more years but he now has 2 cars we have to decide which one will survive both have problems.
The White 1979 auto car is more complete.
The black 1979 is a factory 4 speed car and the floorboards are in way better shape.
I have a Pontiac 350 with auto out of a passenger car.
He is talking about doing a you tube series.
Ah Brings back memory's of my childhood, sanding that 1977 esprit down to bare metal in a dark garage with a space heater and the scorpions on cassette.

Was the black one a factory 4-speed W72? Or 301? No original driveline? Black 4-speed would definetly be the one to restore.

Nexus:
Yeah. I'm with Max on this one...the 4 speed car is what I would work on

I agree the 4 speed would be more awesome, but I do not have the original drive train on the 4 speed but it was a 400/4 speed car also we have no rear axle and some of the steering linkage has been taken when it was outside.
It is his first project so we are thinking get the white going/drive able with the Ponitac 350 drive train we have. then later pro tour (LS/6speed) the black car over time.

Getting both up and running is the best idea!!

At least with getting the white up and running, you can practice and make all your mistakes on it to set you up better for the 4 speed!!

No wrong choice to make as every bird saved from the crushers is a win!!
