Title: Sucking major air via TPI Fresh air intake? Intermittent?
Post by: Joop85 on December 05, 2019, 04:24:58 PM
85 305 TPI, stock, OBDI, 800 miles on rebuilt Mtr, too many mechanics that hear it say Vac Leak, I ask intermittently? It could suck at start up and (RLC) or not, or wait until I get a few miles down the road? starts first turn of key, related everything, TPS, IAC, TS, CAP, wires, fuel pump , filter, sending unit, checked all grounds, sat for 8 yrs occasional moving around, until I shipped it to Hawaii. I appreciate all info regards to this issue if anyone has heard of such a problem.

I haven’t specifically had that problem and maybe someone with a better answer may chime in but intermittent vacuum leak could be possible I would think if your motor uses thermal vacuum switches like the 2nd gen motors.
