Don't know if anyone else has had any dealings with them I've had some issues with my carb and figured instead of messing with mine I'd just go this route.

Yeah the price was good around 375.00. The carb works great only had to do very minimal adjusting after the install basic idle adjust and move the mixture screws a bit but other than that it was a install and go kinda deal. I talked with the guys at SMI and told them what motor cam heads intake and a few other things and they built the carb to match my set up, they even pre ran the carb to make minor adjustments on the set up. I'm running a 455 .030 over with full roller cam and valve train cast heads with a mild port with a performer manifold. nothing real over the top it's an 800 CFM carb.

How does the shaker work with it?

The shaker works fine with it. the only thing I had to do at the start before I changed carbs, was to make an angled spacer so that the shaker would sit right because the manifold was or seems to be made different than the stock one, the shaker sat flat and low. It had nothing to do with the carb it was all about the manifold.
