David T's
« on: May 06, 2009, 11:37:02 AM »
Has anyone here used David T's in Edmonton?  Seems to be the only place in Canada that has any good used parts.

Yes, I have. He is reliable, but pricey.  But when you can't find the part any place else, what choice does a person have.

ok thanks,  I am looking all over for toe boards for my 78 and I cant seem to find any anywhere.  So he is pretty much my last resort.  Unless I make them,  but I dont really have the skill to do so.

Agree with Kev.

They're expensive. Especially on shipped items. But you gotta do what you gotta do sometimes.

As for the toe boards...they're just flat sheetmetal. That's how I plan to replace them on the 80 firebird as the Pass side needs it from the looks of things. Or look at full pans from Sherman as they do include part of the toe boards.

I actually live in Edmonton and can tell you the guy is the biggest jerk in the world.  Like the other guys say he has the parts but you'll have to sell an arm and a leg to get them.  I've tried to get a couple things off of him but I was better off buying brand new from the States and pay for shipping!!  I don't know anyone that has really had anything nice to say about the place.

Unfortunately we don't have the option of buying new when it comes to toe boards.

Im not too sure about the guy either, even though I haven't delt with him I have emailed him about 2 weeks ago and still haven't gotten a reply.  I might just call.  I would just replace them with flat metal,  but i want them to look original,  If you notice the beads that are rolled in the metal for strength.  And I don't have a bead roller or I would make my own
