I find over here ( UK ) the ricers and Subaru drivers just move over for me!

So far I have stayed out on country roads away for any heavy traffic. I havn't encountered any ricers yet but I would think they wouldn't be dumb enough to try anything. Or would they.

No one could be that daft? could they? then again you always get the "David and Goliath" syndromers, problem is Goliath never had a V8! :o

The polishing part is the bad part. Theres no chrome on it at all. It's all polished aluminum so I need to keep up on it. The front gasket on the blower leaked a bit and blew gear oil all over everything a week ago when I drove it. It took me two days to clean up the mess.
But all in all it's worth it in the long run. Looks much better at car shows.
It's OK if your interested in the car I'll chat with ya all night. :)

Hey larry thats pretty good. How do you do that I have been playing with photoshop but can't seem to master it.
I wanted to make a nice banner for my sig.

Heres a real pic that was taken last summer when the car had the small block in it before the body work was started. We were on are way to a small car show. I likw what he did on his mirror. I thoought it was pretty funny.

I was just going through the restoration threads when it hit me you guys might be interested to know this car is a 50th. 455 4 speed car.
A liitle bit on it's history. The previsous owner from Ohio bought it brand new. Drove it till 1983 then turned it into a race car. He raced it till 1995 then stripped it and left it for dead.
I found it on E-bay in 2001. It was not listed as a 50th. It was listed very basic. 76 T/A no motor trans or rear. Thats it with no pics.
I took the chance and bought it and when it got to my house I ran all the numbers to find out what it was. The car had no motor, trans, rear, wiring, gas lines, break lines or interior. It was pretty much just a shell. The car was cut up to much to put it back to stock. So I desided to build it my way and cut it up a whole bunch more.
So thats the story of my T/A. It starts out sad but ends with a Happy ending.

When I read that first line I was going to come over there and smack you. lol Then I saw that it was already beyond restoration when you got it, so I forgive you. :P
Seriously, sounds similar to mine in that aspect, numbers say it's something that should have been restored but by the time anyone who cared got ahold of it it was too far gone.

You did a great job!
