Hi all its been a long time... Well long story short I bought a new hood from ebay around 2010 for my 79 trans am. I have a 403 and a fitech installed. The shaker is a 403 shaker and base, the shake sits too far forward by about an inch towards the front of the car. I had to modify an old shaker and move it off its base farther toward the back to get it to sit correctly. Almost looks like to me I may have to change the base or the air cleaner itself any ideas?
